The Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has revised its policy to make the appointment process for ad hoc lecturers transparent. Merit will be determined, and additional qualifications will be considered, including M.Phil. The advertisement for Lecturers was released under Advertisement No. 47/8/9/2023-AK on 6th September 2023 by the Education Department Colleges. Candidates are required to follow the instructions provided in the online form, as non-compliance is causing difficulties in determining merit. Many candidates have entered CGPA instead of total marks, and there are discrepancies in recording marks and percentages under the semester system for Masters and Bachelors degrees. The policy allows candidates to add additional qualifications, and a process has been established for this on the departments website. Aspirants must correct their educational qualifications by 30th January 2024, and those who have already applied online can update their information. Deliberate misinformation will lead to disqualification. Meritorious candidates will undergo original attestation/degree verification by the Superintendent Colleges of Higher Education.
