Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) is responsible for Matric/Secondary school examination papers and Intermediate exam papers. The held exams every year once.
All big cities have their examination board separate to the other cities. For example, students near Lahore city have their examinations with BISE Lahore while students near capital area chose Federal Board (Federal BISE or FBISE). Some other popular ones are BISE Faisalabad, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Sargodha and BISE Multan. All boards of intermediate and secondary education conducts papers once a year. All BISEs broadly categorize matric and inter into different categories due to their main subjects. On matric level it is 9th and 10th. While on intermediate level it is also called higher secondary or 11th and 12th grade study. Their past papers are hence a little different than each other. Each BISE has their own pattern which can be generalized by old examination papers.
