Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) is inviting applications for the position of Director General Market Implementation & Regulatory Affairs in their MIRAD department. The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Management Science from an HEC recognized university. A minimum of 15 years of experience is required including 10 years in the Power Sector. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of the technical and financial aspects of the energy/power sector along with regulatory frameworks for corporate management. Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is an added advantage.
The MIRAD department will be headed by the DG MRAD QESCO and will be responsible for planning and implementing market operations and facilitating the transition to a competitive electricity market (CTBCM). The employment shall be purely on contract for an initial period of three years with performance evaluation to be conducted by the Board of Directors (BoD) of QESCO. The salary package will be market-based and negotiable.
