Engro Energy Limited is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager-Audit at their Karachi Head Office. The ideal candidate should have a CA/ACCA qualification with additional qualifications like CIA or CISA being an added benefit. A CA fresh qualified or 1 year of PQE or an ACCA with 8 to 10 years of experience is preferred. The candidate should have good knowledge of accounting, auditing, taxation, IT and the ability to tackle sensitive issues amicably. Article ship from an audit firm (preferably Big four) is also preferred.
The overall responsibilities of the Assistant Manager-Audit include conducting reviews/audits in line with the annual approved audit plan and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment. The candidate will also identify process improvement and cost-saving opportunities and assist the Manager Corporate Audit in performing departmental activities. Other responsibilities include providing advisory/consultancy services on a need basis, assisting in conducting training workshops on ethics and business controls, acting as the Business Continuity Champion for the Department, carrying out internal audit assignments on a periodic basis, and ongoing liaison with auditees for timely completion/resolution of issues.
