Engro is hiring for the position of Deputy Manager - Mine Planning. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience in surface mining. The overall responsibilities of the position include developing short-range plans that include mine design and scheduling to optimize operational cost, highlighting risks and opportunities through planning and reconciliation, overseeing plans to ensure they meet all technical, legal and safety measures, assisting management with decision making for short-term challenges, reviewing designs and schedules provided by contractors, directing contractors to follow optimized provided plans and monitoring the progress as per plan. Other responsibilities include monitoring congestion at site and providing way forward, preventing short term problems and resolving any emerging ones, reviewing daily coal production plans from contractor against supply plan, reviewing and developing weekly coal production plans for contractor, reviewing and presenting monthly design from contractor, coordinating surveyors for monthly and milestone surveys, complying with HSE standards, security protocols and other external affairs wherever applicable.
