National University of Sciences and Technology ( NUST) is one of the top universities in Pakistan regarding merit requirements and quality of education. The merit calculation was based on the matric, intermediate, and entry test (NET) marks. During the COVID-19 the merit criteria were only required matric marks along with entry test marks.

Merit Criteria
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic updated merit criteria for admission is as follow:
- Entry Test (NET): 75%
- Matric: 25%
